Our Story:
Dealers of Hope USA was founded on the unwavering bond between Joey McGlamory and Erika Bogan, who came together through a shared mission of breaking barriers. Introduced by Zack Paben of More Heart Than Scars in 2019, Joey and Zack helped Erika complete her first Spartan race, igniting a journey of resilience and empowerment.
Despite Erika’s paraplegia, her biggest battles were unseen—overcoming domestic abuse, PTSD, and suicidal ideation. Joey, with his background in personal, rehab, and functional fitness training, became her support, pushing her beyond what society believed was possible. Together, they conquered some of the world’s toughest challenges, including Erika’s historic summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in her wheelchair and becoming the first paraplegic wheelchair athlete to complete a Spartan Ultra Race.
After years of breaking boundaries with More Heart Than Scars, they founded Dealers of Hope USA—a movement empowering individuals with seen and unseen challenges to rise, climb, and push beyond limitations.
What we do:
At Dealers of Hope USA, we empower individuals with seen and unseen challenges to push beyond their limits. We help adaptive athletes and others overcome obstacles by supporting them in conquering some of the toughest endurance challenges, including obstacle course races across the USA.
Through our partnership with Winrica Adventures, a tour company in Tanzania owned by Erika and her husband, Winford, we provide life-changing experiences, guiding survivors—including cancer survivors, individuals with disabilities, and military veterans—on extreme adventures, including summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.
As the big sister organization to Winrica Adventures NGO in Tanzania, Dealers of Hope Foundation, we extend our mission globally, fostering resilience and proving that no challenge is insurmountable.
